Chef Bob was born in Birmingham in 1963.
This business is family owned and operated and has 3rd generation chefs and bakers working in the kitchen.
Chef Bob is married to Darlene and has 4 children; Richard, Angela, Nathan and Morgan.
Chef Bob has taken Deep-South cuisine to Chicago, New York, Annapolis, and the White House.
Honored by the White House, the US Naval Academy, and the American Culinary Federation.
Author of “Cooking in the Deep South with Chef Bob” has been honored by Tulane University as a Southern Scholar.
Chef Bob works with local farmers and cheese makers to bring the best possible ingredients to his customers.
In 1995 Chef Bob was guest Chef at the Waldorf-Astoria and staged at Daniel, Le Cirque, and Claude Troigros.
Chef Bob was Knighted to the Order of Saint Catherine as Sir Robert “Chef Bob” Vaningan; and his beautiful wife, Lady Darlene Vaningan.
For the past 15 years Chef Bob has been a weekly guest on WBRC Fox 6 every Tuesday, sharing his delicious recipes and cooking advice.
